The IO’s Role
The IO responds to formal complaints under UBC’s Discrimination Policy (SC7). If we have jurisdiction to investigate a complaint, we can manage the complaint by investigating or facilitating an alternative resolution process.

Discrimination Resources
The Equity & Inclusion Office (EIO) provides Human Rights Advising to anyone who has concerns about discrimination that might violate UBC’s Discrimination Policy. The EIO’s human rights advising team provides information and advice, works with relevant parties to resolve concerns informally, and assists with submitting a formal complaint, as appropriate.
